Sometimes the smallest additions make the biggest difference. This irrigation valve setup had everything it needed to function - except an easy way to shut it down when service or repairs came up. So we added a dedicated shut-off right at the valve.
Here's why that matters. Without a proper shut-off, anyone working on that irrigation line has to hunt for the main supply valve or shut off water to a larger section of the house. That wastes time and creates more disruption than necessary. A localized shut-off keeps things simple and contained.
It's also a leak detection and diagnostics issue. When we need to isolate a section of irrigation piping to test for pressure loss or check for a slow leak, having that shut-off in place makes the whole process faster and more accurate. No guesswork, no running back and forth.
These are the kinds of small upgrades we often recommend during a plumbing inspection. They don't take long to install, but they add a real layer of control and protection to your system. Future repairs become easier. Potential problems get caught sooner.
A well-set-up irrigation system shouldn't be a headache to work on. Getting the right hardware in the right place is how we make sure it stays that way.
